paving solutions in the Republic of Ireland.
Clearmac is no ordinary paving material. This decorative aggregate encapsulated resin based system, manufactured by Ayton Products, offers the opportunity to492+ determine the final appearance of paving. Clearmac® users are no longer restricted to the traditional macadam colours of black or red. The attractive and natural aggregate colours incorporated in Clearmac®, ranging from sandy hues to deep russets, permeate through its clear resin binder to produce the perfect complementary affect to adjacent architectural features, historic, contemporary or heritage sites, or the surrounding environment. Clearmac® comprises a graded mixture of aggregates, bound with a synthetic clear resin. The naturally coloured paving is the ultimate decorative surfacing for all pedestrian areas like footpaths, parks, shopping precincts. |

Clearmac® Cold Applied Paving Based upon BS4987, the British Standard specification for
coated macadams, with the bitumen replaced with a clear binder. The paving is hand
applied and designed to provide durability and high performance on surfaces subject to
point loading, such as driveways, mews, parking areas, or where the application of hot
applied clearmac might not be feasible.
The cured material gives a textured and durable finish able to resist degradation caused by weathering and UV radiation, oil, fuel and some commonly used solvents. Clearmac® Hot Applied Paving Based upon BS4987, the British Standard specification for coated macadams, with the bitumen replaced with a clear binder. Designed for lightly trafficked pedestrian areas, such as pathways, precincts, playgrounds and forecourts. Colourchip® Coated Chippings Can be employed to give conventional hot rolled asphalta cost effective colour demarcation and enhancement as well as increased durability. The clear binder coated chippings are simply rolled into the surface at the time of laying, enabling the colour to be maintained throughout the HRA’s entire life The system has been specified for many high profile locations throughout the UK, including the Royal Parks, the Natural History museum and the Mall in London, as well as railway station forecourts. In addition, the material has been used to enhance prestigious office developments, public buildings, supermarkets and other retail units, quality housing projects, private estates and individual homes.
